AI in XDR security
Video: Augmenting security incident detection and response capabilities.
Artificial intelligence is finding growing use in cyber security functions, with particular promise apparent in extended detection and response (XDR) to threats and incidents.
The technology can boost the capability and capacity of security teams to separate signals from noise for further investigation, reducing the workload on team members, so they spend less time chasing ghosts and false positives, and more of their valuable time on actual threats.
In this Focal Point, MinterEllison’s chief information security officer, Sunil Saale and Zespri’s head of digital operations Tim Lloyd spoke to iTnews about the use cases and challenges of implementing an AI in XDR programme.
