The Indian company joins fellow systems integrator Cognizant on the same program of work.

Both Infosys and Cognizant will work with Telstra’s product and technology teams, providing software engineering and IT capabilities, and overhauling legacy systems.

With Infosys, Telstra aims to build a “robust engineering backbone”, particularly around its customer and employee experience.

Telstra’s executive software engineering and IT Kieran O’Meara said the telco has worked with Infosys for over two decades.

“The renewal of this collaboration reinvents how we work together more strategically for the next wave of change in our industry,” he said.

“With the evolution of software product engineering, open architecture, and next-generation technologies such as AI, together, we will develop the best products and services for Telstra’s customers."
