NSW Health chief information officer and eHealth NSW chief executive Dr Zoran Bolevich has left after a nine-year stint.
Bolevich’s departure was foreshadowed last month when he was named as the next chief executive of the Australian Institute of Health and Welfare (AIHW).
He left his role at eHealth NSW at the end of last week.
“Zoran has been at the forefront of innovation and transformation within the NSW digital health landscape for almost a decade,” eHealth NSW said in a LinkedIn post.
“Under his leadership, eHealth NSW has made remarkable advancements implementing cutting-edge health technologies and enhancing patient care across the state.”
eHealth NSW added that Bolevich had also championed cultural excellence and that his influence on digital health in NSW would continue beyond his tenure.
Bolevich joined NSW Health initially as acting CIO before his posting was made permanent.
He notably oversaw health ICT through the pandemic as well as lead-up work for a single, statewide digital patient record.
He also drove "statewide ICT transformation as the digital centre of excellence for NSW Health."
eHealth NSW was a dual finalist in this year’s iTnews Benchmark Awards.
Associate Professor Amith Shetty is the acting chief executive of eHealth NSW.
